Celebrating the International Year of the Periodic Table
The New York Local Section of the American Chemical Society joined the world-wide effort to celebrate the International Year of the
Periodic Table in 2019 by constructing a giant three-dimensional Periodic Table display for the National Chemistry Week celebration at the New York Hall of Science.
This table, composed of 118 individual element panels designed by participants and approximately 12ft x 10ft x 9ft in size, pays tribute to the glorious discovery of the periodicity of the chemical elements and was unveiled at
our award-winning National Chemistry Week celebration on Friday, October 18, 2019. See more about the NY ACS's celebration of IYPT here.
